Shandell Park, we are family owned and operated. We discovered the magnificent breed of shires via the internet. Looking for a larger breed of horse to ride, we saw clydesdales and then shires popped up. We had never heard or seen them before. After visits to a few studs, and realising how special they were, our hearts were set on getting one. From that the rest is history. We have owned up to 13 at one time.

We have all different styles of shires and we enjoy doing several disciplines and activities with our shires including trail riding, swimming, shows and even pony club! This gives the breed great exposure and shows their versatility.

It also gives us great pleasure to compete as the mother - daughter riding combo at many shows.

After owning shires for nine years, we are excited to have bred some  wonderful shires. We love to share our beautiful animals with people that have the same enthusiasm, and therefore visitors are welcome by appointment.
